The signs from above ministry began in 2001. I studied BSL (British sign language) for 2 years and have always had a passion to work with deaf children. After studying, God gave me a vision to use BSL and dance to express our worship and love for Him and to reach out to those who are deaf. Signs from above is a very powerful dynamic ministry which has grown both in numbers and spiritually over the years. Each member of the team is baptised living for God and growing spiritually. I believe God has great plans for this ministry which will take our ministry to different countries. Please continue to hold us in your prayers that we will be greatly used to bring many into the kingdom.

The Sign team is not just a ministry to me but it is a complete part of life. I have watched the team grow and develop over the years. The members lives have been changed and transformed. I am proud to be one of the leaders in the Sign Team Ministry and yearn to see the vision of the sign team materialise as we find ourselves ministering and saving souls worldwide, God is preparing us all.
Danielle FearonBeing a part of the sign team has been a wonderful journey from the very beginning. Signing hasn't only kept me connected with God but it is another way of expressing my love for Him. The ministry has helped me grow in confidence and also helped me to get through difficult moments in my life. I love signing with all my heart mind body and soul; for me it isn't only something I do on a Sunday, but every time I hear music my hands start moving because signing has become a part of me and it is now a natural thing. I really hope God continues to take us further to reach out to those in need of an amazing experience with God.

To be a part of something so powerful that changes lives, melts hearts and draws people into the presence of God for true worship is an honour. Being able to reach out to the very core of people and express my love to God fully giving my heart body mind and spirit is a beautiful thing and I'm so proud of not only where we are headed but where we by the grace of God have come from.

I'm Tereena Murray, I first met Jesus officially in Feb 08. He got me with the simple words a preacher spoke which were, "Do you really love God". As I sat in my seat I realised I didn't love him half a much as I should. I stepped onto the altar and from there my life changed dramatically. I went on to be baptised in March that year and walked into my ministry soon after. All the glory to God for placing me in such a ministry as this. Signs From Above has been a comfort, encouragement and a place of worship for me from day one and most importantly, Signs From Above has given me an opportunity to not only serve God but to be his vessel to bless people's lives. Throughout my time in this ministry I have known that one of our aims is to bring a positive change to people's lives and I pray we have been successful so far. It has been tough at times but overall I am truly blessed to be a part of such a ministry. The Signs From Above members have become my family and without them I don't know where I would be today and all the glory to God for being our rock and strength. My aim for Signs from Above is to continue in this work to touch the lives of God's people. God bless always.

I've been a part of the sign team from the beginning and for me it’s more than a ministry, it’s a way of communicating & expressing myself to god. It’s such a powerful ministry to be in, and the fact that the sign team is growing in numbers truly shows God is taking us higher as a team and individually. I’ve been saved for four years now, and being in the sign team has truly had an effect on me spiritually. When I look at where I am now to where I was five years ago I know that God is working in my life, and it’s through his favour and grace that he took me from a dark place and placed me at NGC! I'm truly blessed!

As a member of the sign team I've noticed myself grow and change a lot over the past few years, but always for the better and never for the worse. Signing has always been my comfort ever since I became a part of the team as it has given me the opportunity to express myself in an unexplainable way, which is something I've never found easy to do. It's really hard to describe the feeling and the meaning behind the greater connection I have found with God through this ministry but I believe He has truly set me free in it, ready to use me and push me forward. Hi my name is Sophia Borghisani, I am 23 years old and an active member of NGC. My walk with God has been a rocky road, I grew up in a Christian family and attended church regularly, but I went through a bit of a rebellious stage in my teens. I always knew God was real but I wasn’t what I would consider a practising Christian. It was when I started NGC that I really built my own personal relationship with God and my faith grew. It hasn’t been easy, but I’ve been so blessed along the whole way, with a loving, supportive family and lots of friends. God has brought me such a long way, and we would be here for hours if I were to tell you my whole story, so I’ll save that for another time. I am so blessed to be a member of Signs from Above. This ministry is a part of me, I have such a passion for communicating to those that are deaf/hard of hearing and love to express my worship to God through British Sign language. The sign team has helped to shape me into who I am today, many times I have faced struggles in my life and it has been my signing ministry that has given me hope and helped me cling on to my faith. I thank God for giving sister Jacqui the vision and for using her to lead us in this ministry. I not only feel blessed to be a part of such a wonderful ministry, but I know God is really using us to reach out to others through this ministry. Kirsty Widdowson My name is Kirsty, I'm 18 years old and I was saved at the age of 15. I grew up in a non-christian family so I never went church or had any knowledge of God. Before I was saved I had a big attitude problem and I had a very strained relationship with my parents and low self esteem. When I gave my life to God, He changed everything about me and gave me peace within myself. I love God and I love signing because I can fully express my thanks to God and worship Him through this ministry, I love seeing people touched by the ministry as God uses us to speak to His people.

I have been a part of the sign team ministry for a few months now and feel so blessed to be a part of this ministry. I have always been touched by the sign team, to see how signing is used to minister Gods love to all people and how committed everyone is to this. I always thought about joining sign team especially at the start of this year but didn’t feel I was confident enough but sometimes we have to listen to what God is saying and step out. I am so grateful to now be a part of sign team, I know that this is the start of something great and I'm very excited about where God is going to take us.

I have recently joined the Sign Team Ministry. My passion, commitment also confidence has developed and I know without a doubt it will expand by the grace of God. I enjoy being able to express my worship and love for the Most High along with ministering to God's people in a powerful and unique way. I thank the Lord for guiding me to identify my ministry in church; I have become a part of a highly favoured and blessed team :) I believe God is going to take us higher in the Sign Ministry!
Troy McleanHi I'm troy, being a part of the sign team has been different for me than the others, the reason I say this is because I speak for the sign team instead of signing, I introduce the songs and by doing this I completely open myself for God to pour his anointing in me and prepare a word before the song, speaking for the sign team is a privilege and I'm honoured to be a part of such an amazing and unique ministry. |
