Minstry Leaders - Charlene Marriott & Patricia Bennett
Often times, we do not know that the terminology "Ushering" comes from God. God was the very first Usher - as He ushered in day and light (Gen 1:3-4). This is the same God, which "Ushered" man into the Garden of Eden (Gen. 2:15).
The New Generation church (NGC) Usher helps the Pastor to make the service a success by putting the congregation in the right frame of mind to receive the message. The NGC Ushers have the ability to do this by meeting the people with a pleasant smile, a warm welcome, and directing them to comfortable seats. The Ushers also ensure that perfect order is kept in and around the church at all times during the services. Ushers are forerunners, for they prepare the church for the guests and the NGC members by being the first to arrive at the church; they receive the order of the day from the Pastoral team and they are to carry out specific task’s which have been assigned to the ushers.
The Ushers of New Generation Church are required to have leadership qualities, as Genesis tells us that Moses demonstrated leadership qualities as he ushered the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt to the promise land, which God had intended. |
