In 2010 seventeen walkers took on the challenge of walking 10 miles from Basford to Arnold and back, completing it in approximately 4.5 hours to raise well needed funds for the NGC Charity.
In 2011 we continued with the challenge and took the walk off-road from Mapperley Top taking in the beautiful, calm, scenic route through Lambley to Woodborough and back.
In 2012 we are increasing the Challenge to 15 miles. The walk is in Nottingham, but the route is yet to be decided on.
We are looking for teams to organise sponsored walks on our behalf or to join us on Saturday June 9th 2012 to walk with us. If you are a rambling club, a company, or an individual and would like to organise a walk or participate with us, to raise funds for NGC Charity, please go to our download centre for a registration form, fill it in and post or email it back to ngcukfundraising@gmail.com or contact us for more information.

Do not under-estimate this challenge. Once registered, you will need to start training to avoid injury or disappointment on the day. We will organise training walks throughout the months leading up to the walk, so join us or feel free to organise your own sessions. Download our training tips document or contact us for further information.
If you are unable to walk, help us to raise money by downloading a poster and putting it up in your workplace to help recruit walkers for the challenge. You can also support us by donating online or contact us for other ways to donate.
